- It is a sincere pleasure to recommend Professor Dario Farina for an AAU honorary doctorate in 2018. We expect that Professor Farina will also actively contribute to our research environment in the future, and we look forward to strengthening our collaboration, reads the recommendation from Kim Dremstrup, Winnie Jensen and Ole Kæseler Andersen.

Dr. Dario Farina’s research focuses on biomedical signal processing, neurorehabilitation technology and neural control of movement, areas in which he is highly recognized. He is co-author on more than 400 publications and has been coeditor of several scientific journals in the field of bioengineering.

He also served as President of the International Society of Elecrophysiology and Kinesiology (ISEK) from 2012 to 2014, and today is managing editor of their official journal, Journal of Electromyography and Kinesiology.

Dario Farina is a familiar face at AAU. Until 2010 he was first an associate professor and then a professor in the Department of Health Science and Technology, and today he is still an important partner for his former colleagues at the Faculty of Medicine.

Current collaborative research projects with AAU include 'Brain Computer Interfaces' with Natalie Mrachacz-Kersting and Kim Dremstrup; 'Electrical Stimulation and Neural Control' with Jakob Lund Dideriksen; and a project on 'Neuro-Robotics' with Strahinja Dohsen
