PROGRAMS FOR TOMORROW’S HEALTH SECTOR
As a student at the Faculty of Medicine you are involved in something essential to everyone: Our health. The programs covers the entire spectrum: from prevention to treatment, from molecule to society. We have medical students who are interested in how we can treat or cure the human body. There are students interested in technology who would like to develop exciting new health technologies, and there are sports science students who study human physical activity.
BASED IN REALITY
At the Faculty of Medicine, teaching and learning is based on an approach known as problem based learning (PBL). This entails your working together with other students in groups and jointly writing projects on specific issues. In many cases, the collaborative project work will involve partnering with an external company or organization. We call it a practice-oriented approach to learning, and as a student you benefit by already making contacts with the society around you and acquiring an understanding of the issues and needs you can help to solve with your education.
