Restoration of mobility

Millions of people live with paralysis and functional impairments following a stroke, neurological disorders or trauma. Research in the field of Neurological Disorders and Neurotechnology aims to develop technologies that can restore the sensory perception and motor skills the patient has lost, as well as facilitate the training of new or lost functions.

Can restore quality of life

We work together across different areas of expertise, and we involve the general public, companies and the health sector in our research and development projects. The research spans from very basic research in our laboratories to patient-oriented clinical research.

In short, we involve all relevant actors and disciplines – from acute treatment when the injury occurs to long-term rehabilitation at home. The close contact means that our research quickly benefits people so that they can regain their quality of life.
